Gefangene Menschen aus der JA Simmering berichten, dass dort seit Wochen das Virus außer Kontrolle ist. Es werden positive Fälle mit negativen zusammen in Zellen untergebracht, den Gefangenen wird der Kontakt zur Außenwelt verboten und die Behörden versuchen, alles zu vertuschen.
Menschenleben von marginalisierten Personen sind dem österreichischen Staat nichts wert. Nach dem Mord an Ali Chaciev in der JVA Stein vor wenigen Wochen werden nun fahrlässig Corona-Infektionen und damit potentiell Tote in Kauf genommen. Es zeigt sich, dass der Staat die Grundrechte auf Leben nicht schützt, sondern das Gegenteil der Fall ist. Gewalt gegen Gefangene ist struktureller Ausdruck dieses Systems.
Wir fordern sofort:
- Öffentliche Informationen über die Situation im Gefängnis
- Gleichstellung von Gefangenen mit der gesamten Bevölkerung bei der medizinischen Versorgung
- Recht auf Gesundheit und Leben für alle Gefangene

Prison kills! Uncontrolled Corona spreading in JA Simmering
Prisoners from JA Simmering report that the virus has been out of control there for weeks. Positive cases are placed in cells together with negative ones, prisoners are banned from contact with the outside world and authorities try to cover everything up.
Human lives of marginalized people are worth nothing to the Austrian state. After the murder of Ali Chaciev in Stein Prison a few weeks ago, Corona infections and thus potential deaths are now being negligently accepted. It shows that the state does not protect the basic rights to life – quite on the contrary. Violence against prisoners is a structural expression of this system.
We demand:
- Public information about the situation in prison
- Equal medical care for prisoners as for the entire population
- Right to health and life for all prisoners
We fight for the abolition of all camps and prisons!

Zatvor ubija! Nekontrolirano širenje koronavirusa u zatvoru „JA Simmering“
Ljudi koji izdržavaju zatvorsku kaznu u „JA Simmering“ izveštavaju da se virus tamo već nedeljama/sedmicama/tjednina otima kontroli. Pozitivni slučajevi zajedno se smeštaju s osobama negativnim na virus u iste zatvorske ćelije, a zatvorenicima se brani kontakt prema vansjkom svetu dok nadležne institucije sve pokušavaju zataškati.
Ljudski životi marginaliziranih osoba austrijskoj državi ništa nisu vredni. Nakon ubojstva Alija Chacieva u zatvoru „JVA Stein“ pre nekoliko nedelja/sedmica/tjedana odgovorne osobe sada su očito spremne igrati se i s ljudskim životima. Pokazuje se da država ne štiti osnovna prava tih osoba nego ih, naprotiv, ona još ugrožava i gazi. Nasilje protiv zatvorenika strukturalni je izraz ovoga sistema.
Mi odmah tražimo:
- Javno dostupne informacije o situaciji u zatvoru
- Jednakost zatvorenika u odnosu na celokupni ostatak stanovništva u pogledu medicinske opskrbe
- Pravo na zdravlje i pravo na život svih zatvorenika
Mi se borimo za ukidanje svih logora i zatvora!
