In Wien gibt es derzeit KEINEN Parteienverkehr auf den Ämtern. Das heißt, Anträge auf Erteilung bzw. Verlängerung von Aufenthaltstitel, können NICHT PERSÖNLICH eingebrach werden.
Derzeit ist es möglich, Anträge schriftlich zu stellen (per Email oder als Einschreiben per Post). Sobald die Ämter wieder arbeitet, werdet Ihr dann wohl aufgefordert werden, persönlich zu erscheinen.
Bitte dokumentiert die schriftlich gestellten Anträge, druckt Euch die Emails aus, die Ihr, wenn möglich mit Sendebestätigung versendet, und behaltet diesen Ausdruck als Kopie. Führt explizit an, welche Unterlagen Ihr mitsendet. Wenn der Antrag per Post (als Einschreiben) versendet wird, legt einen Begleitbrief bei, in dem Ihr anführt, welche Unterlagen Ihr mitübermittelt und bewahrt eine Kopie des Begleitbriefs wie auch den Beleg für das Einschreiben.Und schickt bitte immer nur Kopien Eurer Unterlagen!
WICHTIG: Stellt Euren Verlängerungsantrag rechtzeitig, noch ehe die Karte ausläuft, auch wenn Euch benötigte Unterlagen fehlen! Nur durch rechtzeitige Verlängerung bleibt Euer Aufenthalt weiterhin rechtmäßig. Tragt den Antrag auf Verlängerung und eine Kopie der Sendebestätigung bzw. den Beleg für das Einschreiben mit Euch, für den Fall einer Kontrolle.
Alle Rechtsmittelfristen sind bis zum 1.5.2020 ausgesetzt!

Informations regarding application procedures at MA 35
Residence permits can be extend in writing (even if you are abroad). At the embassies and also at the Magistrat in Vienna the offices are closed currently. You can therefore not apply in person (as foreseen by the law).
You can apply in writing (via Email or as a recommended letter via snail mail). As soon as the offices will open again, you might be invited to appear in person.
Pleas document your applications in writing: print out the sent email and send it – if possible with a transmission confirmation. Keep the copy as a proof. State explicitely, which documents your are handing in. If you send your application via snail mail as “Einschreiben” (recommended letter), add a side letter, in which you state, which documents you added, and keep the receipt of the recommended letter as well as a copy of the side letter. Please only send copies of your documents!
IMPORTANT: Apply in time for the prolongation of your residence permit, before your current card gets invalid, even if you are missing documents. Only if you apply in time, your stay will be legal. Carry a copy of your application as well as the confirmation of transmission/receipt for the recommended letter with you, in case of a police control.
All time limits for appeals are suspended until the 1st of May 2020!!
